1. Introduction & Scope
1.1 This Privacy Policy applies to the ChamberSearch™ Engine, our website (maprankspro.com), and all services provided by Map Ranks Pro, LLC (“Company”). 1.2 Roles: We act as a Data Processor for our Partner Organizations (Chambers of Commerce) and a Data Controller for our direct website visitors and administrative account holders. 1.3 Public vs. Private Information: We distinguish between "Public Directory Information" (Business name, address, phone, and public category) and "Personal Information" (Private email addresses, billing details, and administrative account data). Publicly available business information is processed to maintain the search infrastructure and is not considered private personal information under the primary scope of this policy.
2. Information We Collect & Process
We collect the following categories of data to operate our Search Engine Infrastructure:
Usage Data: IP addresses, geographical location, browser type, and navigation paths. We use this to monitor engine performance and report community reach to our Partners.
Account & Profile Data: Name, organization, and professional email addresses provided by the Partner or the individual Member during the "Claiming" process.
Transaction Data: Records of payments and revenue splits. We do not store full credit card numbers; all financial transactions are handled by secure, PCI-compliant third-party processors.
Synchronization Data: Member data (NAP) intended for public search indexing across our regional sync network.
3. Legal Bases for Processing
We process data under the following legal grounds:
Performance of a Contract: To fulfill our agreement to deploy and maintain the ChamberSearch™ Engine for a Partner.
Legitimate Interests: For the proper administration of our business, ensuring network security, and improving search logic.
Consent: When a member voluntarily "Claims" a listing and provides additional profile details.
4. The Non-Solicitation Shield
4.1 Protection of Member Lists: Map Ranks Pro, LLC acknowledges that the Partner’s member list is a proprietary asset. We will never use private member contact information (emails/phone numbers) provided by the Partner for the purpose of direct marketing, poaching, or solicitation for non-ChamberSearch products. 4.2 Technology-Only Focus: We act strictly as a technology infrastructure provider. We do not contact a Partner’s members except as required for automated system notifications (e.g., listing verification, security alerts, or sync status updates).
5. Third-Party Sub-Processors
To provide our network syncs and high-speed infrastructure, we share limited data with the following categories of sub-processors:
Search & Map APIs: Google Maps, Apple Maps, Bing.
Data Aggregators: Data Axle (for initial data pulls and verification).
Infrastructure: Cloudflare (Security/CDNs), Supabase (Database), and Squarespace (Hosting).
Analytics: Google Analytics (Anonymized traffic tracking).
Payment Gateways: PCI-compliant processors for revenue-split management.
6. International Transfers
Map Ranks Pro, LLC is based in the United States. All data is hosted on secure servers located within the U.S. By using our services, users acknowledge that their information will be processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than their home jurisdiction.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
7.1 General Rule: We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide the search infrastructure and fulfill our legal obligations. 7.2 Termination: Upon the expiration of the notice period defined in our Terms of Service, proprietary administrative data will be deleted. 7.3 Claimed Listing Exception: As per TOS Section 8.2, "Claimed" listings are considered the property of the member and part of the permanent regional infrastructure; therefore, the public business data remains within the engine to ensure search continuity.
8. Your Rights (CCPA & GDPR Compliance)
Users have the following rights regarding their data:
The Right to Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
The Right to Rectification: You may request that we correct inaccurate information.
The Right to Erasure: You may request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal and contractual exclusions (such as maintaining records for tax compliance).
The Right to Data Portability: You may request a transfer of your data in a machine-readable format.
9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
9.1 No Sale of Data: Map Ranks Pro, LLC does not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for their independent marketing purposes. 9.2 Disclosure Request: California residents have the right to request a notice identifying the categories of personal information we share with third parties.

10.1 Cookies: We use cookies to maintain Member Portal sessions, analyze traffic, and prevent fraud. You may disable cookies in your browser, though some features of the Engine may become unavailable. 10.2 Security: We implement industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access. Please refer to our Security Statement for detailed infrastructure protections.
11. Children’s Privacy
The ChamberSearch™ Engine is not directed to individuals under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that such data has been collected, we will take immediate steps to delete it.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Continued use of the Service after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
