To ensure clear legal boundaries under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), Map Ranks Pro, LLC operates under the following framework:

  • The Partner (Chamber): Acts as the Data Controller. The Partner determines the purposes and means of processing member data.

  • Map Ranks Pro, LLC: Acts as the Data Processor. We process personal data solely on the documented instructions of the Partner and for the purpose of providing the ChamberSearch™ Engine infrastructure.

2. Support for Partner Compliance

Map Ranks Pro, LLC provides the technical tools necessary to assist our Partners in meeting their global privacy obligations:

  • Data Subject Rights: We provide the functionality for Partners to fulfill member requests for access, portability, and rectification.

  • Right to Deletion: While "Claimed" listings are intended as part of the regional search infrastructure (per TOS Section 8.2), we provide the technical overrides to delete personal data where required by law, safety protocols, or a valid Data Subject Access Request (DSAR).

  • Accuracy: Our synchronization technology ensures that data updates made in the portal are reflected across our authorized network, supporting the "Accuracy" principle of the GDPR.

3. Sub-Processors & Consent

3.1 Authorized Engagement: The Partner hereby authorizes Map Ranks Pro, LLC to engage third-party sub-processors (e.g., Supabase for database management, Cloudflare for security, and Data Axle for initial synchronization). 3.2 Standards: We only engage sub-processors that maintain industry-standard security certifications and provide at least the same level of data protection as outlined in this statement.

4. Data Breach Notification

In the event of a confirmed unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss of personal data (a "Security Incident"), Map Ranks Pro, LLC will notify the Partner without undue delay after becoming aware of the incident. We will provide the Partner with reasonable assistance and information to help the Partner fulfill their own notification obligations to regulators or members.

5. Data Retention & International Transfers

5.1 Retention: Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary to provide the search infrastructure or to comply with legal, tax, and accounting requirements. Upon termination of the service and after any applicable "Service Continuity" transitions, data will be deleted or anonymized. 5.2 International Transfers: Map Ranks Pro, LLC is headquartered in the United States. Data processed through the ChamberSearch™ Engine may be stored or processed in the U.S. or via global infrastructure.
